Your commitment to blogging is becoming ever more apparent with each passing day of ‘no posts’. I guess life gets in the way…man that’s insightful.
It just occurred to me that I now have twice as many posts as you both do on your own blog, which would be damning in some kind of ‘obsessive fan’ capacity if each of you didn’t have exactly one post each to your credit.
Anyway in gig news I saw Beach House and Fleet Foxes last night. Beach House sounded curiously Mazzy Star-ish, which I never picked up on before listening to their records (but I always play their albums through a distortion pedal so…). For some reason I felt like I was in ‘The Bronze’ while I was watching them, I don’t know why, they don’t sound anything like Dingoes Ate My Baby (but then again who does?).
The Fleet Foxes were incredible (my guru told me my aura was like three shades lighter after the gig, and he should know, I pay him enough). I went through my Americana phase like 4 years ago so it takes a lot for me not to label every group who draws on Neil Young and The Band yawnsome hacks but they were…cool.
Hi! Today’s show was about hotness. the keeping warm type. but also other types. we played james brown’s hotpants. and we played some of bruise meg’s lukewarm tunes.
ouch. inside i felt warm. lukewarm but warm.
next week will be a dedication to cosmo mag. and all their horrible advice. oh yah. stay tuned.

Hello ladies,
As is my want I went for an ill-advised 200km bike ride through the Wicklow mountains yesterday…and neglected to bring any sun cream.
I’m currently weeping steam after being slow roasted for 12 hours.
P.S. My thighs resemble angry hams. I’m always keen to let friends know how I’m getting on dermatologically, so now ya know.
Blog on.
